some words you carry. find today's.
the vibe
Vowed is a daily word puzzle built around the language of polyamory and relationships — words this community actually uses. TRUST. GRIEF. KNOWN. HELD. TRIAD. HINGE. BRAVE. Finding today's word is a small act of keeping faith with the language of who you are.
Before each puzzle, you choose your mode: one word (six guesses, one grid) or two words (both grids simultaneously, harder). Both modes use the same word or pair — two difficulty levels, one daily ritual.
how it works
Choose your mode. One word: a single 5-letter grid, six guesses. Two words: two grids side by side, sharing a keyboard and a semantic connection. Both grids are harder when you're working them together.
Before your first guess, you see the connection label — the relationship between the two words. "a vow between: what holds you · what frees you." It's a hint and a frame. Knowing the relationship helps you reason toward both words.
Type a guess. It applies to both grids simultaneously. Each grid gives you independent feedback: green for right letter in the right spot, amber for right letter wrong spot, gray for not in that word.
Solve one word first to narrow your reasoning toward the other. The information from one grid feeds your guesses on the other — but the feedback is always independent.
Six guesses total. Solve both to keep your vow. If you don't — the words are revealed, and the meditation still appears. It's worth reading whether you solved or not.
a round in practice
Connection: a vow between: what holds you · what frees you
Guess 1: ARISE → word one: R and S are in the word, wrong spots. Word two: I and S in the word, wrong spots.
Guess 2: STORM → word one: S, T, O, R are all in the word. Word two: S is in the word, T O R M are not.
Guess 3: ROOTS → word one solved. ROOTS in green.
Now working toward word two with three guesses left. You know it contains I, S, W, N from previous feedback.
Guess 5: WINGS → solved. Both words found.
The reveal shows: ROOTS · WINGS. "what holds you and what frees you don't have to be in conflict."

people who want a daily word practice with meaning · solo players · anyone who carries words · players who want to go deeper than standard Wordle
one tip
The connection label is a real hint — not decoration. If the label says "what wounds / what heals", you're looking for a word that wounds and a word that heals. Start there, then let the letters confirm.
